On Sunday June 23, Golf Sainte Baume hosted the third and final leg of the Les Provençales Resonance Golf Collection competition, celebrating the theme “Golf and the Art of Living in Provence”. This exceptional event follows previous stages at Golf Bastide de la Salette on June 2 and Golf de Servanes on April 14.
A warm and welcoming atmosphere
On arrival, the 108 players were warmly welcomed with a hearty breakfast and the chance to practice on the driving range and putting green, with buckets of balls provided free of charge.
Everyone was able to take advantage of the tee gift offered by our partner Groupe Parascandola, who were exhibiting throughout the weekend a number of car makes from their dealerships, which you can use to visit our beautiful Provencal region.
The shot-gun start took place in glorious sunshine, providing superb weather for this exceptional day of competition. The games lasted a remarkable 5 hours, testifying to the commitment and enthusiasm of the participants.
A lively gourmet course
All along the course, golfers enjoyed musical buffets with quality catering provided by the golf restaurant, positioned on holes 1 and 10.
On holes 8 and 16, BeeYo, our local beekeeper, offered a honey tasting accompanied by a refreshing lemonade, much appreciated by all. This is the beekeeper who set up the hives on the golf course and whose honey you’ll soon be able to taste.
The Triennes winery, next door to Golf Sainte Baume, also delighted the taste buds with a tasting of its new red, rosé and white wines.
Discovery day for non-golfers
Alongside the competition, some 15 people took part in a discovery day offered by the golf course.
Welcomed with a breakfast to get the day off to a good start, they then attended a workshop on biodiversity offered by Simon Valmy, course superintendent, as part of the Journées Biodiversité organized by the French Golf Federation (FFgolf).
The discovery of the site continued with our golf instructor. Killian introduced participants to the game of golf, before they enjoyed the various activities on site, exploring the course in a golf cart and joining the competitors at the musical buffet on hole 1, before attending the prize-giving ceremony together.
Musical closing and prize-giving ceremony
The prize-giving ceremony, accompanied by a sweet buffet and refreshments, took place to the sounds of a live rock band.
The event’s partners offered generous prizes to golfers and non-golfers alike. Special thanks to
